Tom Hipps: Bio

For several years, Tom Hipps has been building a solid reputation in the music industry as a performer, songwriter, and studio session vocalist. He has performed live in thousands of shows all over the US and Canada and has appeared as a backup vocalist on many other noteable artists' recording projects, various specialty CD's and even advertising jingles! His songs were featured in the film Staring at Headlights, he has written music for Chicago's Second City Theater, and his music has been featured on NBC-TV. Tom appeared as lead vocalist on the popular 2002 Target Corporation CD Praise & Worship Christmas (32,000 copies sold) and is the recipient of a Billboard Musical Achievement Award.
Tom released his first solo album, Everybody & Their Brother, in 2002. His sophomore set, Then Went the Demons, was released in 2006 and his songs have garnered airplay on radio stations all over the world.
You can catch Tom Hipps performing solo acoustic shows, in his duo Costello & Hipps, with the Tom Hipps Trio, or in his folk/rock band From Ordinary, depending on the venue and type of show. He also takes great pleasure in occasionally serving as a guest music worship leader at various churches.
Tom is currently in the process of releasing a string of digital singles, the first of which is "Waiting For You", available on iTunes and most other major online music retailers.
